Au fil des ann\u00e9es la grande faune a progressivement disparue (El\u00e9phant, beauf sauvage, antilope Bubale, gazelle m\u2019horr, lion de l\u2019Atlas, pintade de Numidie et plus r\u00e9cemment l\u2019Oryx, l\u2019Addax, le l\u00e9opard, le Gu\u00e9pard, l\u2019Autruche \u00e0 cou rouge\u2026). Une partie de ces esp\u00e8ces disparues \u00e9tait partiellement ou totalement inf\u00e9od\u00e9e aux \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes steppiques arbor\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La steppe \u00e0 <em>Acacia raddiana<\/em> et la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019esp\u00e8ces sauvages disparues ou menac\u00e9es de disparition dans le sahel et dans le Maghreb (Oryx, Addax, Gazelles, Autruches\u2026) contribuent \u00e0 la renomm\u00e9e internationale du Parc Nationale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les premi\u00e8res antilopes Addax en provenance de Hannover (2 m\u00eales et 2 femelles) furent introduites en 1985 dans le Parc. Le m\u00eame nombre fut exp\u00e9di\u00e9 en 1986. La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Zoologique de San Diego envoya ensuite 6 femelles, ce qui donne un total de 14 antilopes Addax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les antilopes Oryx Algazelle furent exp\u00e9di\u00e9es vers le Parc National par la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Zoologique de Londres en d\u00e9cembre 1985 (5 m\u00eales et 5 femelles).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le programme de r\u00e9introduction d\u2019esp\u00e8ces disparues ou menac\u00e9es a \u00e9galement concern\u00e9 la gazelle m\u2019horr, le mouflon \u00e0 manchettes et l\u2019autruche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Parc National de Bou-Hedma h\u00e9berge en outre plusieurs autres esp\u00e8ces animales qui repr\u00e9sentent une forte valeur patrimoniale pour la Tunisie. Citons par exemple :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Une faune d\u2019invert\u00e9br\u00e9s tels que les Col\u00e9opt\u00e8res, les L\u00e9pidopt\u00e8res, les Scorpions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Des Batraciens uniques telle que la magnifique grenouille verte de la source d\u2019Ain Charchara.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Des Reptiles comme le Varan (<em>Varanus griseus<\/em>) rare et menac\u00e9, le Cam\u00e9l\u00e9on (<em>Chamaeleo chamaeleo<\/em>), la Tortue mauresque (T<em>estudo graeca<\/em>). Le L\u00e9zard fouette queue, le Naja (Cobra), les Vip\u00e9r\u00e9s I\u00e9b\u00e9tine \u00e0 cornes et des Pyramides.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 remarquable d\u2019Oiseaux comme l\u2019Aigle de Bonnelli, l\u2019Hibou Grand Duc, la Perdrix gambra, la Ganga, la caille (<em>Coturnix coturnix<\/em>), l\u2019Alouette des champs, l\u2019Autruche \u00e0 cou bleu (<em>Struthio camelus<\/em>), le Cochevis hupp\u00e9, le Rouge-gorge, la Fauvette, le Moineau espagnol, le Petit Gravelot, le Bulbul, la Huppe fasci\u00e9e, la Chouette chev\u00eache, le Bouvreuil githagine, le Crat\u00e8rope fauve\u2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les Mammif\u00e8res sont repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s en montagne par le Mouflon E manchettes, le Goundi (<em>Ctenodactylus gundi<\/em>), le Lynx caracal et le Sanglier; en plaine par les Gazelles dorcas (<em>Gazella dorcas<\/em>) rares et menac\u00e9es, les Antilopes Oryx et Addax, les Gazelles m\u2019horr&nbsp;<em>(Gazella dama mhorr<\/em>), l\u2019Hy\u00e8ne ray\u00e9e tr\u00e8s rare, le Chacal (abondant), le Chat sauvage (rare), le Li\u00e8vre, des petits Rongeurs et le Porc Epic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Lynx est parfois aper\u00e7u dans le Djebel. Le Renard rouge, la Genette et le Zorille existent \u00e9galement dans le Parc. Le Fennec s\u2019observe rarement.
